All Gary’s instruments are cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner before being inserted into an autoclave for sterilization. (See picture below.)
The autoclave that Gary uses is currently the best one advised for private practice (class B). Sterilizing to the best advised temperature of 134 degrees as laid down by the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists and the health authority. It uses both vacuum and non vacuum cycles. The autoclave is fitted with a printer that monitors its effectiveness and the print is filed away for audit purposes. The autoclave is serviced on a regular basis. All Gary’s instruments are packed separately for single sterile use.
