What is Reiki - Healing Hands Therapy ?

Reiki Energy Healing (pronounced Ray-Key) is a Japanese word meaning “Universal Life Energy”

And the word “Reiki” Healing hands therapy is used to describe a system of healing.

Reiki healing hands therapy is a very powerful complementary therapy that is used to bring deep relaxation and re-balance the body’s life force (chi flow), giving the recipient a deep feeling of well being. We can not survive for 1 minute without chi flow.

So what can Reiki do?

Reiki can be used in many and varied ways for relaxation and sleep insomnia, long standing injuries, muscle skeletal conditions, pain management, by rebalancing the body’s chakras and aura energies.

Indeed, Gary and Janet have treated many long standing conditions, such as tendonitis and frozen shoulder problems, which have not improved using conventional methods. After only a few sessions of healing the condition has miraculously cleared or is well on the way to clearing. Of cause no promise or guarantees can be given, but Gary and Janet do evidence based practice and get wonderful results.

Please also note: That as a Podiatrist Gary can diagnose and treat conditions below the hip, but above the hip must be pre-diagnosed by a doctor or other medical practitioner. If you are having treatment with another medical practitioner, please keep them informed of your progress and carry on with your treatment.

In the East it is believed that an imbalance in chi flow and the aura can be a cause of disease, such as cancer. It is thought that stress is responsible for approximately 70% of all illnesses.

How long does a treatment last?

A treatment lasts between 30-60 minutes and the participant is fully clothed, lying down.

Are there any side affects?

Reiki does detoxify the body, so a lot of urine will be passed in the 24 hours after Reiki healing; it is advisable to drink at least a litre of water. A Reiki healing crisis sheet will be given to you after your treatment, for help and advice, should you have a concern after treatment.

Are there any contra-indications for treatment?

If you have one of the following conditions treatment is not advised:-Pacemaker, unset broken bones, anaesthetic within the last 24 hours and low blood pressure.
