Freezing Warts with Cryotherapy

What is Freezing Warts Treatment Used For?

Cryo-therapy is used effectively in the treatment of freezing warts and verrucaes, which are normally part of the HPV virus.

How Does feet Cryo-therapy (freezing warts) Work?

Feet cryo-therapy is used in the freezing of warts to a temperature that it is thought that the virus can not survive. The cooling and thawing process affects the cells and they are unable to protect themselves from the rapid change in temperature. The cells are normally damaged or ruptured in the process and generate a cell band immune response, releasing viral antigens, which results in regression of the viral warts.

Is the Treatment Painful?

There may be some moderate pain during the process, because the area has been frozen, as it begins to thaw. Normally this discomfort will have settled down in a very short time. It may be advisable to take a suitable pain killer after freezing warts treatment.
