What is it?
Podiatric Foot Acupuncture involves the insertion of very fine sterile, single use, disposable needles into the skin to stimulate points along the meridian channels to aid Chi (energy) flow. Points are selected on the lower limb (hip downwards) to help alleviate pain and for safe effective treatment of various Podiatric conditions. Podiatric Foot Acupuncture can be used by itself or in conjunction with other Podiatric treatments.
Is it Safe?
Podiatric Acupuncture is a very safe form of treatment but there are a few possible side effects such as drowsiness, some people feel faint and there can be occasional bruising around the needle site. Most people experience no side effects whatsoever or feel very energised after treatment. It has fewer side effects than most prescription drugs. The podiatrist will take a full medical History before treatment commences.
